St. Joseph County property owners have been waiting for their 2006 (paid in 2007) tax bills for a long time, and their delivery now seems to be in site. The bills are normally due in two installments – in May and November. However this year, they will be due in a single payment in December.
County officials have to submit figures to Indiana’s Department of Local Government Finance for approval. The South Bend Tribune reports the county has the figures back from the state and hope to have the bills out in about two weeks.
